What I Wore In Spain 2023

Hello!

The purpose of this blog post is to share with you what I wore while I was in Spain this May.

I am so grateful to have had to opportunity to go to Sevilla, Spain at the beginning of this Summer along with some of my college friends.

Two of my favorite pictures from Spain

Before this trip, I had wanted to go to Spain for YEARS- probably since the seventh grade when I started learning to speak Spanish. Ever since that seventh grade Spanish class, I fell in love with learning about culture and language, in general, but specifically had the dream of traveling to Spain one day. And, even now, I am still smiling about the fact that, two days after my college graduation, this dream of mine came true.

This trip to Sevilla was just 8 days and I will be showing you 4 of the outfits that I wore throughout my trip!

You Were Doing WHAT Before Spain?

I just briefly mentioned that this Spain trip was, indeed, two days after my college graduation.

Yes, you read that correctly the first time.

And yes, it was absolutely insane (not even to mention the fact that I was moving into an apartment during those couple days as well. Ya. Don't recommend).

Taking this into consideration, the week before the trip I was pouring most of my energy into finals and therefore not at all into preparation for traveling across the world. What I mean by all of this is....

ya girl did a lot of Amazon shopping.

I obviously did not have time to go any stores and buy the things that I needed for this trip so, instead, I spent time searching online for the things I wanted.

Climate in Sevilla

Sevilla is VERY hot. Actually, if I am correct, the hottest city in all of Spain.

Yep- I'm correct

If your body type is anything like mine, you may also experience discomfort wearing shorts in very hot climates for extended periods of time. Or, honestly, even if your body is nothing like mine, you might find shorts uncomfortable in general, as do I.

I just would much rather wear a jumpsuit, dress, or flowy pants in the heat over a pair of jean shorts. I felt really comfortable all day in every single one of these outfits. We did a lot of walking every day but I felt like each one was airy enough to keep me as cool as I could have been.

I, by no means, think that I am a fashion icon but simply wanted to come on here and share these items because I really enjoyed wearing them and you might too!

What I Wore In Spain
Let's get into it! Below, I will be sharing with you 4 of my favorite outfits that I wore while I was in Spain earlier this May.

To start out the trip we all know I was wearing comfy pants and a tee shirt to the airport and on the plane. (Didn't think I needed to include that one because it wasn't the most glamorous outfit.) If you want to know more about how I packed for this trip- check out this article that I put together

So let's start with Day 1.

Day 1

Sevilla, Spain trip outfit 1

On day one in Spain I decided to wear this pink jumpsuit that I got off of amazon. In the picture above the fanny pack I am wearing is also from amazon and is linked here:

Underneath the jumpsuit I am simply wearing a black sports bra as I was going for a super casual look. You really can dress this jumpsuit up or down and wear any kind of bralette with it for an everyday look.

My shoes in the leftmost picture are from Jenny In the City, a clothing boutique in the Twin Cities area. I got them last summer and they're the brand MIA. They are no longer being sold online but the sandals below are pretty similar and are being sold at Jenny In the City right now.

Jenny usually has a few MIA  sandal options in store during the summer- and they go quick. Styles seem to turnover faster at boutiques. I have two pairs of MIA sandals from JITC and really like them both.

Really just any neutral, chunky sandal would look great paired with this jumpsuit though!

Day 2

Spain outfit day 2

My outfit for day two was definitely one of my top two favorites for this trip. Not only that, I think this black onesie/jumpsuit is the best thing that has ever happened to me. It is soft and comfy, it fits really well, and it is not see-through.

You can totally dress this outfit up or down as well. As you can see in the leftmost picture I dressed it down with some white Nike Air Max sneakers and my fanny pack once again.

If you were to dress this up you could pair it with some fancier platform sandals or even heels. I have a job interview coming up and I think I am going to wear this same black jumper with some sandals and obviously ditch the fanny pack.

Day 3

Outfit I wore in Sevilla, Spain for my trip. Blue wrap dress and super cute and comfy to wear!

Notice earlier that I mentioned that black jumper was one of my top TWO favorite outfits? That's because this blue and white wrap dress is my other new favorite outfit from Amazon. It has short sleeves, is a dark navy blue color (maybe a little bit lighter than a true navy blue), and has a little white floral pattern all over it.

It is a true wrap dress so it does have to be tied together almost like a robe. However, I never felt like I was about to flash anyone if a gust of wind were to unexpectedly blow throughout the day. Which is nice- and, as I'm sure you've experienced, is a characteristic of a wrap dress that is way harder to find these days than it should be.

There is a button closure sewn on near the bust area but I didn't particularly like the placement of the button on me. For that reason, I used a safety pin to keep the fabric closed where I wanted it instead of using the closure and thought it looked great.

I paired it with some brown sandals that I purchased way too long ago from TJ Maxx. And I should definitely retire those shoes after this Spain trip but am not going to.

Day 4

Outfit in Sevilla, Spain trip day 4

You may be wondering why in the world "almost" is included in the title above.

That is because, unfortunately, this dress did not come in time to take to Spain with me which I was sad about but it is still the perfect dress for summer. I've worn it a couple times since I've been back already. Every time I have worn it I have gotten lots of compliments which is great because it honestly feels like you're wearing pajamas.

This dress really is the perfect outfit for when you just don't want to wear pants. Or maybe that's just a me problem.

I got the purple one with white and blue floral print but there are tons of different colors to choose from as well.

Signing Off

So those are my 4 favorite outfits that I wore (or almost wore) while in Sevilla, Spain this past May. They are all super simple outfits that are perfect to take with you when traveling and I highly recommend you use the links I've included to purchase one or all of them for yourself this summer!

Thank you so much for supporting me and for reading this!

Love you,

Jamie Stratt
